I Dare You

So today's entry will be short, sweet, and a little different. I'm lazy today so i've only got two for you

-Patron Saint Of Disbelief

First Up:

Artist:Bauhaus
Album: 1979-1983 Double Lp
http://www.sendspace.com/file/tk6y0t

This is pretty much the hits collection spanning Bauhaus' career before breaking up. 31 tracks in all and pretty much all the essential bauhaus you need.. though the actual albums themselves are incredible so i suggest not missing out on the songs that aren't in this collection as well.

Last For The Day:

Artist: Tones On Tail
Album: Everything!

http://www.sendspace.com/file/3jdjug

This is the Discography of Tones On Tail, Daniel ash and kevin haskins project after bauhaus.. you might not think you know them but if you listen to the first track on this discog and i guarantee you'll remember it.. grade a collection right here.

Short and sweet.

I've got two in the short and sweet category today. The first Iceburn EP, and Into Another's EP, aptly titled, Creepy Eepy.
-twrex

One of my top 10 favorite bands, this is the first incarnation of the band Iceburn. After changing their name from Insight, Iceburn released this EP on Victory records in 1991. The two songs on here (Burn and Fall) were later rerecorded for thier Firon LP (which is inexplicably missing from the Victory catalog, along with a few other choice releases) and I'll probably post that up here in due time. Iceburn's raw mix of hardcore/sludge/avant-jazz is showcases in it's earliest form here.

"Defined: Iceburn - perhaps the most amazing band in the universe. In a sentence: Iceburn is the most punk band who doesn't play anything resembling punk music. Iceburn." Aiding and Abetting Fanzine

Into Another turned a lot of heads with their self titled debut in 1991. With Richie Birkenhead of Underdog, Tony Bono from Whiplash, and Drew Thomas from Bold, people had expectations. To probably everyone's surprise, none of them were met. With their prog-rock alt-core sound, Into Another broke out of their hardcore past and into another (pun intended) phase of their careers. In 1992 they released their second album, Creepy Eepy. Four songs that cover a wide range of sounds, but stay one coherent piece throughout. Something Into Another was very, very good at.

One Foot In The Grave

Hey all it's me itsxalive again. Good old twrex is helping out and adding some stellar stuff i might add to keep this thing up and running on a daily basis. so it looks like you'll be getting even more releases everyday and faster, and like him i also take requests. If I don't have it i'll do my best to obtain it. So on to today's entry.

First up:

Artist: Sabertooth Zombie
Album: Midnight Venom
http://www.mediafire.com/?9x3tbgmx1m4

Track List:
1 D.O.A.

13 Seven Swords
14 Get Bent
15 Live In Hell Rot In Dirt
16 Lady Death

18 Rat Bones

Hailing from California this band rarely gets the credit they deserve. They deliver fast pissed off hardcore at maximum output. This was their last release with their most recent being the dance/the prisoner 10". Catch them on tour this spring with Ceremony and Life Long Tragedy and buy shit from them.

Next Up:

Artist: Hour Of The Wolf
Album: Power Of The Wolf

Track List:

1 Eat You Alive
2 Spit It Right Back
3 Black Blood Transfusion
4 Deaths Coming
5 Turn On You
6 Wild Man
7 You're Through
8 Burn It

The first release from this arizona based band is a cross between good riddance, afi, and danzig. A rocking punk hardcore record with a pissed off anti-religious edge and some really grooving guitar hooks.

Last Up:

Artist: Lewd Acts
Album: Dark Days
http://www.mediafire.com/?n3iz2jzsemj

Track List:

1 The Bridge
2 Holy Hands
3 Fun In Funeral

9 Thirteen
10 I Scream
11 Pallbearer Blues
12 Drifter's Sole
13 You Ain't No Patron Saint

Another current band hailing california. This album is the current discography up until now featuring 3 new tracks, their demo, and the ...on lonely nights 7". Stand out track is definitely Womanipulation. Also this release is from by the vocalist of Iceburn's (which happens to be one of twrex's favorite bands) younger brother tyler.

That's so heavy I forgot to laugh...

Hey guys.

I'm going to be helping out with this blog, adding the Doom, Sludge, and 90s alternative/hardcore to the spectrum. If there is something that fits in this criteria, that you were looking to check out, leave a message on here letting us know. If I have it I'll get it up a soon as I can, if I don't I'll try and find it.

-twrex

Today I'm going to give you two releases:

First is the first record put out under the Rollins Band name. 1988 was the year Henry Rollins took his solo side project and made it into the new chapter in his musical career. This is Life Time.

Next is the last LP from my favorite sludge outfit of all time, Seattle's Engine Kid. Featuring the great Greg Anderson (goatsnake, Sunn 0))), Thorr's Hammer) on guitar and vocals. This is Engine Kid's 1994 2x LP, Angel Wings.

It's Alive

Hello all. After the few days of this being up i finally have time to make a first post. I made this blog to help broaden peoples horizons to new music, and/or things they wouldn't normally listen to but are willing to give anything a shot. I primarily listen to punk and hardcore but, my tastes are really eclectic beyond that so with that said, there will be a lot of punk and hardcore uploads here but a lot of other stuff as well including: New Wave, actual screamo (saetia, orchid, etc.), Late 80's/early 90's rap, ska, crust, black metal, indie, and all that other good stuff.

My only request is that if you like any of what you download, mainly if it's a smaller band, a touring band, and especially an active band support them as well. Buy music and things from them directly. The only reason i have all these digital files is because I only buy vinyl and i can't really listen to that on the go or in the car. I'll quit babbling now and get to the good stuff. Today being the first day i'm going to start with a few releases.

First up:

Photobucket

Artist - Bunny Skulls
Album - 16 Song Demo
http://www.mediafire.com/?324gredh4wl

Track Listing:
1.Bunny Skulls
2.Warm and Fuzzy
3.Scene Repression
4.Life Of Rage
5.Lame Photocopied Skulls
6.No Rockstars
7.Nuke Portland
8.Kill The Clown Band
9.Dance Floor Lobotomy
10.Ritalin Kid
11.End The Human Race
12.Cycle Of Shit
13.Rehab Game
14.Your Myspace Band
15.I Wanna Give You Aids
16.No Time

This band played their first show yesterday with Vitamin X and The State in Fruitport, MI just outside of grand rapids yesterday. And lets just say the fucking ripped. A two man group, a drummer and guitarist/vocalist blistered through their set lightning fast and I'm pretty sure they played this entire demo. Good, Fast punk hardcore from Michigan

Next Up:

Photobucket

Artist: Bauhaus
Album: Go Away White
http://www.mediafire.com/?9ap2nz3jjc6

Tracklisting:
1.Too Much 21st Century
2.Adrenalin
3.Undone
4.International Bulletproof Talent
5.Endless Summer Of The Damned
6.Saved
7.Mirror Remains
8.Black Stone Heart
9.The Dog's A Vapor
10.Zikir

30 years after their inception as a band, after a break up, side-projects/solo projects, and everything under the sun, Bauhaus finally got back together a few years ago to play coachella festival in California. After that they did two reunion tours, one by themselves and one supporting NIN. Now finally in the first week of march they are releasing Go Away White, their final studio album. This record is much different than anything they've ever done, it has a really funky tone to it but still has that Bauhaus touch that you can't mistake, Daniel Ash's frantic guitar playing, Peter Murphy's haunting vocals, and production that is pristine. Also this entire record was recorded using Jimi Hendrix's actual vox wah wah pedal. Peter Murphy gave it to Daniel Ash as a gift before they started recording the record.

And lastly for today:

Artist: The Tangled Lines
Album: Wash The Shit Off! 7"
http://www.mediafire.com/?5yjdpo4s3nz

Tracklisting:
1.Seven On One Stroke
2.Drop The Bomb
3.All Black And White
4.An Apple A Day
5.I Won't Be Hard
6.With Make Up And A Push Up Bra
7.Spit On You!!!
8.MxRxCxBx

The Tangled Lines hail from Dresden, Germany. A female fronted punk/hardcore assault that will lay waste to your ears. Fast riffs and aggressive in your face vocals. I've actually only listened to this band for a short time now but they have been around since 2001 and played here in michigan last year. I'm kicking myself for not going at this point because this band just flat out rules.
